Project: Guideline for Rulebook for spatial development

The present Rulebook is to govern detailed contents and format of planning documents, as well as categories of and criteria for land use, elements of urban regulation, standardized graphical symbols, and other components of national and local planning documents.

Taking into consideration that IT system of Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism is based on Autodesk technologies, as well as the fact that most of the planners are using Autodesk based tools, one of the goals of this project was to implemented this Rulebook and data model in a way that will allow it usage in AutoCAD Map3D.

Standard AutoCAD Map3D graphical objects are used to for creation of graphical symbols according to the Rulebook:

  • Pint
  • Polyline
  • Multiline
  • Bock
  • Polygon

For presentation of graphical symbols:

  • Layers
  • Line types
  • Multiline types
  • Hatches
  • Blocks

Implementation of attributes is done by using following AutoCAD Map3D functionalities :

  • Object data

Unified graphical objects and attributes are implemented by using:

  • Object classes

Consistency and control of graphical data and attributes is ensured by using:

  • Topologies
  • Programmed procedures
